30-06-2008 US Publishing Deal

Mike has today signed a publishing contract with US publisher Shaw Music Group of New York. This contract covers his complete catalogue and is exclusive for the US and Canada.

Says company president Paul L. Shaw: "Mike is a considerable talent. I already have artists interested in recording his songs, and look forward to working with him."

09-06-2008 Filming at Bamberg concert

Christian Gropper and his crew will be filming at Mike's concert at The Blues Bar, Bamberg, Germany on Tuesday 17 June 2008.

This for added on-the-road footage for the both the live DVD and a forthcoming TV documentary about Mike.

Again entry in free, and for those who were unable to be present at the original concert filming, this is perfect chance to become part of the production.

09-06-2008 DVD Release Party

On Friday 29 August 2008 there will be a release party for Mike's live DVD at Manege in Ratingen, Germany.

Entry is free. The party will be in the form of a Kiwi BBQ and a selection of NZ wines will also be available.

The Mayor of Ratingen and Mrs Jennifer Scoular, the NZ Consul-General to Germany, will both be attending, and both Mrs Scoular and Mike will sign the Ratingen's official visitor's book.

Mike, Gerd and Heike will also perform a short set. This is a very special event and we would love to see you there.

Again entry is free but you MUST reserve your tickets by contacting Manege via their website.

16-12-2007 German Rock & Pop Awards 2007

Last evening at the 2007 German Rock & Pop Awards, held in the Rhein-Mein Hallen, Wiesbaden, Germany, Mike Brosnan won major prizes in 4 categories.

All prizes were for the remixed version of his Beneath Southland Skies album, which Mike largely re-recorded and produced for this album's US release, currently underway.

The winning categories are:

1)  Studio Production of the Year

2)  Best Folk-Rock Singer (Male)

3)  Best Folk Rock Band

4)  Country Song of the Year (for "Dave Said...")

Mike would like to thank his label Flying Kiwi Records and his many friends and fans for their unswerving support, without which this success would not have been possible.

He also thanks Jürg Vogt of Vovox Cables, Martin Seeliger of Lakewood Guitars, Elixir Strings, Mindprint, and Tom Rahn of Feedback Guitar Services, Darmstadt, Germany, whose superb products and services were integral with this success.

Finally, Mike particularly would like to thank his guitarist Gerd Vogel and his mix engineer Phill Adams of Matrix Digital, NZ, for their commitment and their input to this project.

07-11-2007 Concert postponed

Mike's Thursday 08 November 2007 concert at Küsters Hof, D-31515 Wunstorf, Germany has been postponed until early-2008.
This late change is at the request of the venue and is out of our control.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
The new date will be listed as soon as it is confirmed.

25-10-2007 Mike Brosnan to perform Nashville Showcase

On November 02 2007 Mike Brosnan will perform for the second consecutive year as part of the influential Americana Renegades Showcase at Nashville TN's renown Americana venue Douglas Corner.

Other artists performing include: Michael Kelsh (Nashville/NC), Tom Roznowski (Indiana), Colin Linden (Nashville/Canada), Brian Ashley Jones (Spartanburg SC /Nashville), Jason Eaddy (Austin,Texas), Scott Lindsey(Kentucky/Nashville), Blackie & The Rodeo Kings (Canada/Nashville), Rodeo Pony (Nashville/Colorado) and Patterson Barrett (Austin Texas) featuring Buddy Miller on guitar

Doors open at 7:30PM and entry is free to attendees at the 2007 AMA Conference.
